Analyze the differences and the similarity of the two text :

Similarity :

1. Explanation text is text that tells how something is made.  Actually, the explanation text is the same as the procedure text.  But the procedure text is more focused on instructing and giving method of making things, and the both provide the same information for the reader.

2. The bottom line is give formation in the creation of something. such as: a. Explanation text = How lemongrass and ginger drink is made  b. procedure text  = How to make a lemongrass and ginger drink. 

Differences :

1. Social Function =

Explanation

To explain the processes involed in the formation or working of natural or sociocultural phenomena.

Procedure

To describe how something is accomplished through a sequence of action or steps.

2. Explanation text consists of general structure and Explanation. Like in the example in the text already presented : General Statement How lemongrass and ginger drink is made and Sequenced of explanation How lemongrass and ginger drink is made.

3.  Explanation text explains about How lemongrass and ginger drink is made didn't describe the steps of the lemongrass and ginger drink is made.

4. Procedure text consists of General structure, where the general structure consists of goals and materials. In the text is Ingredients and steps to make lemongrass and ginger drink. 

5. Procedure text explains the making of a thing or how a thing operates, with the gratitude that it is man-made.

6. Procedure text consists of steps or methods.
